Most of the time this means keeping them within your primary living space.

Definitely make sure to continuously dust off your record collection especially before you plan on playing them.
The best way to do this is to place your vinyl on a soft lint free surface and apply a mixture of record cleaning solution and distilled water.
Avoid storing them in direct sunlight as the light and heat can fade the jacket artwork and warp the record.
To use spray the solution onto your microfiber cloth and lightly wipe in a circular motion around your vinyl.
Vinyl records should always be stored in a dry cool environment.
This should be a regular practice in your listening sessions.
Clean with a micro fibre cloth and dry with a separate micro fibre cloth.
Wet cleaning highly recommended when you want to give your records a deep clean.
Try to avoid tap water because the mineral deposits may actually damage your album.
Excess moisture and heat can harm vinyl so it s a good idea to store your records in a dry temperature controlled environment.

Attics are a no go because the summer heat can warp your vinyl.
Unfortunately a big part of taking care of vinyl records is cleaning them regularly.
It s also rather unusual for a buyer of vinyl records to purchase only one.
Make sure to clean in the direction of the grooves and use a separate cloth to dry your vinyl once it s been cleaned.
Avoid pressing too hard on the vinyl as that can cause any dust or gunk to sink.
Be very careful when using cleaning sprays with bleach ammonia and peroxide.
